Boxcar Bread & Wine - Hyde Park is thriving and we’re growing our floor team.

We’re on the lookout for a part-time star (20–28 hours), with the chance to step up to full-time (up to 40) over summer and the holidays.

We’re searching for someone who brings great energy, a genuine smile, and a warm welcome for every guest. If you love great coffee, beautiful pastries, and creating a lively, friendly atmosphere as much as we do, we’d love to hear from you.

What the waiter/waitress role involves

• Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every visit starts on a high note

• Taking orders, serving dishes and drinks, and providing recommendations with confidence and care

• Recognising the pace of service, knowing when to step it up and when to create calm, relaxed moments for our guests

• Learning and mastering our menu, from morning pastries and coffee to evening dishes and wines

• Supporting smooth service by keeping the floor and service areas clean, organised, and ready

• Contributing to a positive, team-focused atmosphere and helping each other succeed
