We’re looking for a Head Chef who enjoys working in a breakfast/brunch focused environment and enjoys delivering delicious dishes, the challenge of running a kitchen while managing costs and performance. Our venue operates 8am – 6pm, Monday to Sunday, offering a fantastic structure that allows for work-life balance.

Situated on Kendal Street in the charming neighbourhood of Marylebone, Boxcar Bread & Wine offers a cozy retreat for lovers of artisanal and fresh, locally-sourced produce. Combining a welcoming atmosphere with expertly crafted offerings, we are proud to deliver an approachable experience that celebrates simplicity and quality.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Run the kitchen—leading a hands-on service and ensuring high-quality food preparation for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.
• Stock control & financial management—monitoring food costs, reducing waste, controlling stock levels, and maximising GP.
• Labour & rota management—ensuring efficient scheduling to meet demand while keeping labour costs in check.
• Kitchen leadership—motivating and training your team to maintain consistency, efficiency, and enthusiasm.
• Compliance & standards—upholding the highest standards in food hygiene, allergens, and Health & Safety.
