Boxcar Group is looking for an Assistant Baker to join the team! Working closely with our Head Baker you will be part of an innovative team focusing on patisserie, viennoiserie and bread. Based in Marylebone you will be working in our kitchen on Wyndham Place.

As an Assistant Baker you will be responsible for:

• Maintain impeccable attention to detail, ensuring consistency and excellence in every product.
• Independently create items according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure that all food items are prepared and stored safely and hygienically.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an assistant baker or similar, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality baked goods in a professional kitchen environment.
• Passion for baking and a willingness to push boundaries and innovate while maintaining traditional baking techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering products of the highest standard.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively, especially during solo shifts.
• Ability to work night shifts - shift patterns can be 5pm-2am and 10pm-8am (or thereabouts)
